Kevin | 20 comments I have found it confusing and slightly annoying that the order of books shown on the My Books page is inconsistent. I cannot understand why.

Under the settings option I have chosen Year published in ascending order. While this works for the majority of my books, the first 8 books are shown far too early. It appears that the correct published year shows in the book details.

Is it me or is there a glitch in the system?

Liralen | 8224 comments All of those were missing, or had incomplete, first-published dates. I've filled them in as best I could, which I think should help. I couldn't find exact first-published dates for One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich, Bad Luck and Trouble, or A Change of Flag.

Kevin | 20 comments Denisovich was first published in November 1962.

Bad Luck and Trouble was first published in 2007

A Change of Flag was first published in 2002.

Kevin | 20 comments And sorry, this was also first published in 2002.

Yes, these all have partial (year, or year and month) first-published dates set—just not sure the system will play well with them without a day of the month, which I couldn't find.

What's your source for The Chinese Box? WorldCat suggests that it was first published in 1975, but that doesn't make sense if book 1 of the trilogy was published in 1985.

Kevin | 20 comments Source of Chinese Box

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christo...

Although I have just checked my copy which says the copyright to Christopher New is 2001

Liralen | 8224 comments I haven't been able to find anything conclusive on it, so I'm erring on the side of caution—if another librarian is able to find something to confirm that The Chinese Box was first published later than 1975, that date can be updated. (It's possible that it was first published in 1975—and, e.g., only expanded to a trilogy later—but that's unclear to me.)
