He seemed like such a genuinely nice human being. They played a repeat of “Throwback” on ABC TV last weekend - which featured him.
Highly recommend if you haven’t seen his short episode: https://youtube.com/watch?v=bAomeewCPeI
Thanks Rowan, I hadn't seen that. What a fascinating man. I might see if I can dig out my Tomorrow series books..

Cartoonist Michael Leunig has also sadly died at the age of 79. I love his satirical cartoons as well as Mr Curly and his ducks.

Is anyone else having issues not receiving notifications of what people are reading etc? Or is it just the time of year and people are not posting?

Yes we are = Goodreads are having their annual maintenance run from 23rd December until 8th January. We've been discussing it in the EDITING thread Dale :)

I'm sure congratulations are in order to Phrynne, for finishing her Goodreads challenge!!! Well done!
Well, I finished my last book in 2024 challenge. It only works because I cheated and dropped it from 160-145. I will have to reduce it seems for 2025.😊

Well done Dale!
Well done Dale!
Thanks Sarah and Brenda. Glad you didn’t mind me cheating on the goal number. Review is under 2025 since 2024 closed.

Brenda wrote: "Your 2025 challenge is up for posting your goal 😊"Thanks Brenda, I have set mine for 260, this year :)
Dale wrote: "Thanks Brenda. I might set at 140 this year when I find the link."
Go to your profile page and look to the left side. That's where I found mine 😊

Brenda wrote: "I've set mine for 350 again." Good luck and happy reading.I see they have a few other things with the challenge this year. Looks interesting 😊
Good luck Everyone I am sure you will all get there and yes Sharon I saw those others, interesting :)
I set mine a bit lower because I really need to unpack some boxes instead of being lazy, but I note that, having read one book, I'm 299 books behind schedule! What hope is there for me?
Brenda wrote: "Mine says the same Marianne - not something I'd noticed before though."It used to calculate hiw many days per book and say you were 3 books behind or two ahead. Now I have read 2 and I'm 298 behind, LOL
