Louise | 96 comments I only just started reading fantasy! I did not enjoy fourth as much as everyone else, really liked once upon a broken heart / the ballad of never after but absolutely loved Divine Rivals! I heard that Shadow & Bone has a simmilar vibe. Is that true? What are your other recs? Thank youu

Samantha (sahoek) Ok, hear me out: not worth it. At least for me anyway. I tried, I really did! I started the first book 4 different times, trying to give it a chance, but whew... I think the last time I pushed myself to 20%, and I was bored for every minute. I haven't tried Fourth Wing yet, but it is on my list.

For a rec, I really enjoyed House of Beating Wings by Olivia Wildenstein.

angeline (ramblingdaydreams) | 0 comments its your typical 2010s fantasy trilogy; 'dull' girl is the chosen one, she is stuck in a love triangle, she saves the world. i read it two years ago when i started reading fantasy in general and i really liked it — still do — so i would say that its a great start if youre a beginner in the fantasy genre. its not leigh bardugo's best work (obviously, since its her first trilogy) but its a solid read. likeable main character, interesting fictional universe, good world-building, easy vocabulary — you should give it a try, especially if youre interested in reading bardugo's other works :)

Alaura | 146 comments shadow and bone are in the same world as i he six of crows duology so to get a better understanding of the society they’re in shadow and bone first is good.
