Good Job!! :D

If K is called today that is a winning shelf for us. I don't think it is for anyone else yet, so it won't be a race to finish. But we might want to look for K books in order to be ready when/if it is called.

Review: This was just another OK read for me. The Vamp world was nothing new or original...humans know about vamps and they live together as peacefully as possible. This world was never really explained much in this first book, so we don't really know many details about how it came to be, and how relationships evolved. Maybe there will be more in future books. What we do know is that the main character, Raphael, is the Vamp Lord over all the western United States. He has been around for several hundred years and is a very powerful Lord. He is pretty badass and ruthless when it comes to dealing with his enemies, but can also show a bit of compassion when warranted. However, he was a bit too cocky for my taste in heroes. The heroine Cyn was a fun character as well. She is an ex cop, current Private Investigator with an extremely independent streak. You can already probably tell that she and Raphael will clash. I did enjoy the authors writing style and the characters were interesting. The storyline was a little lackluster and the love story pretty unbelievable. So far it seems to be a lust only relationship, but we don't know for sure because the author leaves us hanging until the next book in the series, ugh! I will probably read the next book just to see how things work out, but not sure about the rest after that. We will see.

Requirement: Choose a book using one of the following options ...
* For "Pruning", read a book in a series you've started, but let get away from you (more than 3 books in the series left TBR) or a book you put on your TBR list a year or more ago
* For PNR, read a book found on one of these shelves: GR PNR or SOS PNR

And if we get it a K call, I'll read Raven Cursed, which is on the SOS Shifters shelf.
This is not a winning a call for any team, but it does move 2 more teams to within one.

Review: I'm glad I continued on with this series, as I enjoyed this book two much better than the first one. The writing was good in both, but I feel I was just drawn into this storyline more. Cyn the main heroine is back again in this one and decides to travel from California to Texas to pick up a new case from a new client (the Vampire Lord of the Southern region of the United States). This new case involved missing and abducted children that Cyn needs to find and save, and so had much more of an emotional draw for me than the first book. We also get Raphael back in this one and their relationship takes a new turn. Cyn has been the main character in the first two books, and as a Private Investigator, I feel the series could and should revolve around her. She is a great strong character and I would like to see much more of what she gets herself into. But as I'm looking at the rest of the series, it seems as if her time is done and the story moves on to new characters and new places. If Cyn were still there, I would definitely read more, but not sure now. I guess time will tell.

Review:
Marsila has figured out that Mercy had something to do with the death of her demon raising vampire and is out to get her. But since Mercy is now protected by the pack Marsila has to find a new way to punish her. In an effort to help her pack and an old college friend, she heads out of town to help with a ghost problem. Stefan tags along to look after her while Adam sorts out the problems with Marsila. But it seems that the only vampire in town there might have other plans for her. Mercy books are always more than they seem and will leave you guessing and waiting for the next. Good edition to the series and you find out about what Mercy can do in this book.

Review: This was a good ending to this trilogy. But the wrapping up of the cancer storylines was a little too easy. (view spoiler) . That was too easy. And out of character for Blade. Although we did see character growth from him this book, so maybe not the most far-fetched thing to happen in here.

Should I wait to request our stamp until it's fixed?

Requirement: Choose a book using one of the following options ...
* For "clean", clean off your TBR shelves and read a book published 2 or more years ago
* For cyberpunk, read a book found on one of these shelves: GR cyberpunk or SOS cyberpunk

As C has been called I thought you'd all like to know, that 2 teams are in the running for Bingo.
However, one team needs 4 stamps & the other needs 5 stamps.
That's why its always a good idea to try to keep up with the weekly shelves.

Should I wait to request our stamp until it's fixed?"

Book: Becoming His
Date Read: 7/13
Rating: 3 stars
How it fits: On my TBR since May 2019, published March 2018
Review: I don't really know what to say about this one. I really enjoy Albany Walker's stories. But often her sex scenes are just too long. In this book she has divided them up by about a page or two of story, so instead of seeming too long, it just seems like there are too many of them. That problem aside, these two characters are just nowhere near ready to be in a relationship. There is too much past and not enough history between them. They both need therapy, and then give in to the mate bond.

Review: I really enjoyed this. With advancements in technology, everyone is living most of the time in a virtual reality world. A bit similar to "Ready Player One" which is one of my favorite books. I wouldn't compare it to that book, as they are very different (not as many 80's references in this one lol), but the idea of the virtual world is similar. Lots of action and a mystery that is yet to be resolved at the end, so a bit of a cliffhanger. I am definitely going to read the next in this series.

Requirement: Choose a book using one of the following options ...
* For "Umbrella", read a book with an umbrella on the cover or a title, series or author first or last name starting with U
* For urban fantasy, read a book found on one of these shelves: GR UF, SOS UF + romance

I'm going to go with Winter Lost which is on the SOS UF + Romance shelf.

Review:
The four Horseman are back at looking for Damon. They go to his father because they want to be able to go into the Pope but Kai must adhere to certain conditions. But he runs into Banks again and the unacted upon attraction is still there. The mind scheming between Kai and Banks shows that she is his match and he must figure out what to do about it. This book is full of emotions and tension but a good addition to the series.

Review: I really loved most of the stories in this collection. I had previously read 1 of the 2 The Others stories, but the new one was a fun read. And only 2 of the Black Jewels stories was new to me. But I always love reading anything in that world. And all the other bits and pieces of things that float through Anne Bishop's head were fascinating. That last story? I want a full book on that one!
