Heather’s 5 star opinion makes me think maybe we should add it to next season’s opener and see what happens. I’m ready for a laugh if it’s good!

Thanks for the June list, Shea. I should have mentioned adding “The Worst Wedding Date”, recommended with 5 stars by Heather, for Romance.

I get posts from Patty Smith on her Patreon site and in this latest one she is talking a lot about books and In particular (about half way in) she talks about reading the Nobel Prize, French author, Annie Ernaux…I think you’ll enjoy Patti’s book suggestions & ramblings. She always makes me smile! And Shea’s suggestion to read any Ernaux is a good one.

Quintessa | 30 comments I just realized that Parable of the Sower by Octavia Butler is set in 2024, which makes me want to recommend that instead of Kindred.

Would that change the category from Science Fiction to Dystopian?

I'm not actually sure. it's not really either in my opinion, though GR has it listed as both. I think Speculative Fiction is probably the best fit.

Quintessa | 30 comments I'm not suggesting we add this to the schedule, but John Marks' new book (the one he talked about during our author event) is out this month:
If You Can't Run
