Do you know everything there is to know about Christmas? Test your knowledge, read books and work with friends for this team challenge!

This is a TEAM challenge. You will work as a team to move through the game board, answering trivia and reading books. Once a team reaches the finish, the game is over. The team with the most points wins!

Challenge Rules:
Standard Challenge Rules apply, plus...
🎅Rereads DO count for this challenge BUT must have been read more than a year ago.
🎅One book per prompt/task.
🎅Follow your own time zone. If you finish the book between the challenge dates in your time zone, it counts.
🎅NO BANKING BOOKS! You can only use books you've started after the challenge BEGINS, and finished AFTER you receive a task!
🎅Please NOTE! This Challenge uses Google Sheets.
📌VERY IMPORTANT! Make sure that you have notifications turned on, so that you don't miss updates, bonus task notices, etc.

Task Rules:
You must be able to justify how your book fits the prompt. Creativity is encouraged, but please hold to the task/prompt.
🎁Cover Color must be more than 50% (https://labs.tineye.com/color/)
🎁List page number, percentage, or chapter for word in text
🎁Cover Items should be shown or mentioned in your post (ie cover image)
🎁Short explanation for other tasks for proof of task completion

Depending on the amount of sign-ups, teams will most likely consist of 3 people. With this in mind, if you would like to change who you are requesting to team up with, please do. Maybe a 1st and 2nd choice? Or maybe you want to play against each other?

Hey Kat! We have 2 Amanda's, can you let me know which one you are referring to?

Also, no you don't have to use Christmas books if you don't want to! You just have to meet the task requirements.

You will work as a team to move through the game board, by answering trivia questions and reading books! Once a team reaches the finish, the game is over. The team with the most points wins!

Your team will "roll the dice" and move to a space on the board, and answer a trivia question associated with that space, which will generate your reading task. Once you finish reading for your task, you'll post your completion in the thread and I will confirm your answers.

Because you're part of a team, you won't always have to read (unless you want to). Board spaces require either 2 or 3 books per task, so you can choose who reads and who doesn't for that space.

Question - there are 4 of us that would like to read together. We each read around 4-6 books a month. We were wondering if we could be placed on a team together for fun - not competitive? Would that be a possibility? This would be:

Gail, I'm not sure how to do this specific game as non competitive, as it's set up like a literal board game with 2 teams.

That being said, there's no reason you need to play the game with a cutthroat mindset, it can be casual and fun. Perhaps the 4 of you might just want to split into 2 teams and play your game without worrying about points?

I suppose I can simply give you a gameboard with no other team, and you could treat it like a random task assignment based on your roll...

No, there is no requirement to read any specific type of book. Your books just have to meet the task.

Thank you for your response. I did not pay attention to the fact it is about amount of pages read not number of books. The four of us can split into two teams if that is ok with you or however is easiest for you. We are all excited to play. This looks like such a fun challenge! Gail: I've set up your board and your thread. Since you're playing less competitively, yours has been altered very slightly and I'm putting you all together in one thread. Normally, I would have 1 for each team. If you decide you'd rather have 2, let me know and I'll change it for you, but I thought since you wanted to be more casual, you might have more fun playing all together.
