Interesting that the article also talks about and pictures December's author Samuel Beckett

ForestGardenGal | 232 comments Yes, glad you noticed that. I considered cross posting or mentioning it in the Beckett thread. I personally love it when authors include a philosophical element in their work.

That is interesting. You might have to remind me. All I can do is talk about your post. Wish I could actually repost Members comments in other threads. Would come in handy actually.

ForestGardenGal | 232 comments Huh, I figured Goodreads would have that capability! No problem, I can repost it there when the time comes.

I copy and paste other people's posts into another thread using my computer's software rather than any Goodreads-specific methodology. Only the text of the post gets pasted and not the post itself.

ForestGardenGal | 232 comments Yep, there's always a way!

I guess Goodreads doesn't have this capability, but some bulletin board software allows moderators to move posts to different threads (for example a post that may be off-topic in one thread could be moved to a thread where it is appropriate); that's what I was referring to.

That is the way I took your statement.
Ive deleted a comment in the past (after copying the comment part) and sent it to the Member in a PM to repost in the appropriate thread.
I would make life to simple. lol!

I know that was what you really was referring to FGGal, and I too thought GR moderators could move off-topic posts between threads. In fact, I thought it had been done in GR discussions I've been in before. But by successfully avoiding being a moderator, both by my and others' choice, I've never been privy to all the position's powers and hope to remain ignorant of them. So I suggested a different way.

Of course not. You've gotten to know me too well for that. So don't worry, when I mentioned I had been "successfully avoiding being a moderator, both by my and others' choice" I definitely had you in the "others' choice" category.
