I am seeing 320 listed on various sites. How are you verifying 312?
I have the book in front of me. the last numbered page is 312. After that page is a single sheet with both sides blank.
the copy I have is by Weidenfeld & Nicolson from 2022. the ISBN number is for the hardback edition.
it could be 320 pages if you count the unnumbered pages at the front of the book.
