I think the Adding an alternate cover edition section in the Librarian Manual needs to be updated to reflect the latest book page. In the manual, it says the new link is next to the "Add New Edition" link, but it's actually next to the "Edit book details" button on the book page.
I usually go to "Show all x editions" first to look for an edition with the cover I want to use and use the "Add a new edition" link on that page. I was looking there or on the edit page to find the new ACE tool, but did not find it so I just added another edition without the ASIN (Audible Audio) even though it's a newer cover. I finally figured out it's only on the book page after clicking the 3 dots.
I think it could be very helpful to spell this out a little more in the manual since as far as I can tell you can only get to the ACE tool from the book page and it seems important to check the Editions page before adding anything new.. It would be great to have the link on the Editions page as well if that feature can be requested.
Hi Jen, just wanted to add that on the All Editions page you have not yet selected which ISBN or ASIN to move during the creation of an ACE. That's likely why we have to go to the book page of the edition that currently have the ASIN/ISBN, and start the ACE creation from that exact edition.

The reason we can’t add an alternate cover edition on the editions page make sense. I still think it would be helpful to update the Librarian Manual to clarify how to get to the ACE tool. Thanks!
