well, I thought it was cool to see a new kind of shifter but I also had a sense of foreshadowing....they were moving into uncharted waters in more ways than one!
The fight was amazing and on some level, kind of fun as they worked in perfect tandem. However, I was also struck by Kate's thought of how exciting it was, almost as if she enjoyed the bloodthirst. This thought came barreling back to me when Hugh asserted something similar.
It was a great scene and I loved seeing Kate, Curran and the others working together. I also realized that there was more to this attack than met the eye and that a lot of the events that follow relate back to it. Kate is definitely not a warm and snuggly heroine. She wouldn't be the heroine we love if she didn't get off on the violence. That's just who she is and who she has always been.
I agree, Lauren. She's a total adrenaline junkie in terms of her more violent tendencies. Maybe that's why she fits in so well with a pack of maniac shape shifters ;).
Also, she was kind of raised to be bloodthirsty. Voron doesn't raise no wimps. ;) Luckily, the good in her makes her fight on the right side, but I think there will always be a little shot of excitement that surges through her when faced with a fight.
