Saiman is so cagey. I think, on some level, he wants to stay in Kate's good books, but its his nature to try to screw people over. Combine that with his bad history with Curran and its like walking on an knife edge...could go either way. I have a sense that he is finally starting to trust in the alliance he has with the shapeshifters, largely due to his dealings with Kate.
I never trust Saiman. He generally puts his own interests first and he's endlessly ambitious so you never know what he's going to do.
While I agree that Saiman is cagey, I also have no doubt that he will never betray the pack. Other than the fact that he is terrified of Curran (and Curran is just looking for an excuse to tear his head off, literally), Saiman truly cares about Kate in his own way.
Interesting perspective on Saiman, Lauren. I've always felt that Saiman is the type of character that could be motivated to back stab at any point. It is hilarious to watch him cower in front of Curran though :).
I am trying to remember if the destruction of Saiman's boatload of expensive cars was in a short story or one of the main books...I think that is the point at which Saiman really truly understands he better never get on Curran's shit list!

I agree with you, Lauren.
I agree with you, Lauren.
