Verene hold onto him. She saw Alex she was happy Alex wasn't hurt. Verene wanted to end Xavier right then and there but in time he will take the poison and it will all be well.

"if he doesn't take the bag ill get him" he said pulling a blade from his boot

"Use this," she pulled out some poison and dragged it on his blade.

"Thanks" he got it ready to throw just waiting for Xavier to come close enough

"i want him gone" Blake knew Marcus was the biggest competition he had

"SHUT UP BLAKE." She said so quietly but with such intesity.

"Where is April." Verene whispered. April was weaker than Marcus. I could easily best her.

He wanted to go down there and kill marcus so bad

Verene hold onto Blake knowing his strong dislike. "Why do you hate him?" Verene ask as quiet as she could.

"Because he is the only one stopping you from going home." the rest of the tributes were nothing, easy to beat, weak. marcus was the only one who was competition

"No, no, no I am not going home without you." Verene said. Knowing Marcus may be hard to beat but she knew with Blake they both could best him. She then thought about April she then grimace about her.

"See you get it but with April." he paused "and you are going home."

“I don’t dislike her it just she gets on my skin.” Verene said

"those are one in the same often" he said twisting Verene so she was facing Blake

he just held her close to him enjoying the time they have

"I wish we both could live. And marry." She said she was dreaming of a future where there was no Hunger Games no pain. But that is foolish.

"me too babe." he thought "you know what." he looked at Verene in the eyes "lets get married. right now." he had a dorky smile as he said it

"WHAT ARE YOU MAD!" Verene said. But she sorta liked the idea.

"Yeah," he smirked "madly in love with you"

"Sure, but on one condition." She said holding up 1 finger smiling.

"name it" he said dead serious

"You will not put yourself in any harm for me. Cause I rather have a live husband as long as I can." Verene said.

"Ok. my beautiful amazing wife" he wouldn't active try to put himself in harm for her but he acts before thinking genrally so he'll be fine

"Nuh huh we aren't married yet so technically I am your Finacee" She said smiling.

"fine. how do we do this?" he realized there was nothing really else to do

Just then a parachute dropped down through the tree and landed nicely in between them. Blake looked confused at it. "who sent us what?"

"Well Blake when a man and woman want to be together forever they say vows and they have rings and marry." Verene said trying to keep her giggles from coming out.

"yeah ummm dont we need a witness?" to make it like offiacial

"Of Course that is where Alex comes in and there are also cameras for the show. The Capitol is probably watching this right now." She said.

"ok ok" he looked down the tree "hey alex"

"uh yeah?" they called back up

"would ya come up here for a few?"

"whats up?" they said settling on another branch closer by.

blake just looked at them and then at Verene "you want to tell them?" He opened the container attached to the parachute. inside were two rings. One was a simple silver band with a few small gemstones inlayed. the other was a silver band with a medium cut diamond attached and smaller aqua marine gemstones inlayed

"Uhm, we need a witness for our marriage." Verene said.

"wut?" alex said shocked

"yeah we are getting married here and now. and we need a witness" blake said pulling the rings out of the container

"Uhm, so I guess we say our vows?" Verene said not actually knowing what to do.

"yes, we do. go ahead, my love." he took her hands in his hold them gently

"Okay, Blake Swan I neer knew anybody could love me the way you have. I never knew I could feel this way towards anybody. I always thought love was a dream that can never be reach but know you have let me reach the dream. You have opened my eyes to what love truly it. Love is not some petty duty to family but love is something that is a flame in your heart that will warm you up with joy and Hope. So I take this ring and I make you my husband Blake Swan. ANd I will always love you in sickness and in health in the good days and in the bad ones. I will be your faithful Wife until I die." Verene said smiling.

With the ring on his finger blake picked up the other one. "Verene Emerald Yarrow, i dont even have words for how much i love you. I never knew i could feel like this till i met you. even though at first this wasn't going as planned im glad it went the way it did other wise we wouldn't be in this tree getting married in the middle of the frucken Hunger Games" he had tears in his eyes trying to ignore that they arent going to get to grow old together

"i love you more," he then pulled her closely kissing her like it was their last kiss ever "Mrs. Swan"

Alex just sat there in shock jaw dropped "did you guys really just get married?"

"Yep." Verene said smiling. " I honestly can't believe this." She said grinning.

"i can. we are crazy" he pulled Verene so her back was agaisnt his chest.

"you," alex pointed at Blake and Verene "just got married, in the middle of the hunger games"

"Yep. I guess now they need to change my last name now I am Verene Emerald Swan." She said proudly.
