You're telling me you can't or won't pay my requested 50% three-year annual increase from my current salary?
Just do the math, Madame Moderator, and you'll agree that I'm worth every penny of my requested increase.
I know your worth it! So here is the best offer I have!

You folks are hilarious!I was surprised to find ABBA at the other side of your links, though. For some reason when I saw "Money" I heard Pink Floyd in my head even though I noticed the word was repeated, and "Gimme Gimme Gimme" brought to my mind the heavier sounds of A Perfect Circle and Black Flag!
Isn't it amazing how our minds work?
While I do prefer and own music by those bands, FGG, and own no ABBA, this exchange cries out for the use of ABBA.See, ABBA is the perfect "Kitch" band, as in "Kitch..ING!!!!"
ABBA is just how it came in my head, but of course 50% of nothing is still not much of an increase Brian 😕
Lesle wrote: "50% of nothing is still not much of an increase Brian 😕"No, but it is a raise that I'm worth every penny of.

I love the BLCC reissues - I was planning on doing a little BLCC project of my own in 2024. I have read a number on your list, but will join in for the ones I haven't read, and maybe pop over to talk about the ones I am reading. My library actually has a pretty good selection available! I'm reading
right now.
One that I really enjoyed that I didn't see on your list is
If you have some extra space around December, it's a very snowy mystery!
I agree with Christine in message #61. I think Crossed Skis is one of the best of this series of books. I have read a number of them & it’s definitely my favourite so far.I suggest that if anyone is thinking of buying books or waiting a long time for a library book it may be worth looking for the Kindle version instead. Depending on your Amazon subscription you may be able to borrow many of this series free of charge. (Sorry, Lesle - I know you prefer “real” books!)

Haha! Trisha that is just my preference. Does not mean Kindles do not work well for others. Hope you had a Very Merry Christmas Trisha! Hope you and your Kitty enjoyed the day!

Thank you, Lesle. I also love real books, especially recipe books which I still collect even though I have too many! But ebooks are great to read as I can always have a book with me - if I’m alone I always read when I stop somewhere for coffee, & I read a lot when on a train. Best of all, they don’t take up lots of storage space in my small home.
I'm hoping to join in for Lorac. I like her McDonald series. I want to try and join for Bude as well. Let's see how I can manage my time.
As I said in an earlier post, if it was selected, I would read Post After Post-Mortem as my first book of the Robert Macdonald series by author E.C.R. Lorac. It is the March selection. I have bought a copy of the book and will join with the group for the March read.If I like it, then I will go back and read February's selection, Bats in the Belfry, which is #13 in the series, 2 books after Post After Post-Mortem. While reviewers indicate that it doesn't matter if the Macdonald series books are read in order, I still prefer to do so. Anality.

Indeed it is. And when I list my positive and negative character traits, I always put Anality in the positive column. I do so because my Anality makes me maintain a balanced list.
I've got myself a copy of death of a bookseller for this month. I never read this genre but the premise sounded good so I'm looking forward to it!
