In 1904, the Montagues were cursed with a daughter as their first child. Mr. Montagues blamed his wife for the bad luck.

"It's your fault, Gabrielle!" Montague screamed, clutching his hair. Gabrielle sniffed, clutching her pearls, ignoring her crying baby.

"I'm going to throw this wretched baby out and the next child better be a boy, Gabrielle," 'Montague grabbed little Odette's cot and marched to their luxurious manor's front door, calling a slave.

"Throw this baby in the gutters, esclave," Montague said, practically throwing the cot into the slave's hands.

The slave scurried away with the Odette as she cried. As his master had said, the slave placed the cot on the pave,end of the nearby gutter. As he turned to leave, it seemed air itself split open and a woman and man walked out.
The woman's dark purple hair made her seem like a goddess but the slave shook his head. There is only Christ
The man's hair was so very black.

"Whose child is that, Slave?" The woman spoke with perfect English.

"Master Montague's daughter. He has has ordered me to get rid of her," The slave said, hanging his head.

"Give the child to me," The man said and the slave felt a spike of fear as he picked up Odette's cot and handed it to the man.

. The woman pounced on the thin slave, pushing him to the ground and sinking her teeth, no fangs, into his neck skin. The slave thrashed but it was futile against the Inhumane strength of the woman.

The man gently sunk his teeth into Odette's small hand which made her cry even louder. The man drank until Odette stopped crying and opened her now silver eyes. "Silver is much prettier than plain blue," The man cooed as his wife straightened and with a flick of her wrist, the slave's body disintegrated into mist.

"Let us leave, Dorian," The woman smiled, taking out a handkerchief and wiping her bloodstained lips.

"Let us, Anne" Dorian smiled back at her and they both left in a cloud of mist.

Werewolf Form: When triggered, Joshua transforms into a large, imposing wolf. Unpredictable Power Spikes: When overwhelmed by strong emotions, his demonic powers can flare up randomly, causing uncontrolled bursts of strength or speed. These are unpredictable and can be dangerous to those around him.
Motivation:

Uncover the Truth: Joshua’s main driving force is to find out about his past and understand why he is so different. He is hoping to one day figure out who he is and what he is meant to do.

For the first time since right after she became a vampire, she wished for her existence to be over. That feeling continued off and on throughout the years and she swore off love keeping that promise going through life and watching the world change around her until recently as she finally starts to open up of finding new love, with someone who could be with her forever.

Her wolf-like features are more subtle but still visible in her sharp canines and the faint marks that trace down her neck and arms like scars from old shifts. When she lets her wolf side take over, her form shifts to something more feral—claws, fur, and a predatory gaze. Her attire is always black, loose and worn, like a cloak of sorrow she can’t escape.

Personality:
Lyric is detached, cold, and often pessimistic. She doesn’t trust easily, having grown up in a world that abandoned her the moment she was born. The emotional weight she carries is immense, but she hides it behind a hardened exterior. Despite her cruelty and rage, she has a deep sense of loneliness and guilt that she can’t shake. She does what she has to in order to survive, even if it means hurting others. She pushes people away, but the truth is, she longs for connection, even if she believes she doesn't deserve it.

Backstory:
Lyric was the product of a forbidden union between a demon lord and a powerful werewolf alpha. Her mother, a high-ranking werewolf, gave birth to her on a stormy night, but the moment Lyric was born, she was abandoned—rejected by both sides of her heritage. The demon blood made her unstable, her werewolf side barely able to control her shifts. Her father, the demon lord, took one look at her and saw nothing but weakness and failure. Her mother, too, saw Lyric as an unnatural creature, torn between two worlds.

As a child, she was raised by no one, wandering between packs and demon territories, always hunted, always feared. She was blamed for the violence that followed in her wake—attacks on her packs, the destruction caused by her unstable transformations. Her first real connection was a brief friendship with a human girl, but that ended tragically when Lyric lost control and killed her in a wolf-like rage. Afterward, she gave up on trying to belong anywhere.

Now, Lyric roams the world, a wandering mercenary, doing whatever jobs she can to survive. She carries the weight of her past with her—the scars, the memories, and the curse of being both demon and werewolf. Every night she struggles to keep the wolf from overtaking her, and every day she wonders if she’s truly capable of redemption, or if she’s destined to be a monster forever.

Abilities:

Shifting: Lyric can shift between her human and werewolf forms, but unlike full werewolves, her transformations are more violent and painful. Her demon blood can fuel these shifts, turning them into something more brutal, almost uncontrollable.

Her family was considered "different" - perhaps unconventional, perhaps struggling financially - leading to Jinx being ostracized by her peers. This fostered her introverted nature and distrust of others.
The "Accident": A seemingly random encounter with a charismatic stranger (her future sire) at a local music venue. He seemed genuinely interested in her, drawing her out of her shell. This was carefully orchestrated; he had been observing her for weeks, drawn to her hidden strength and potential. He engineered a situation that led to her being attacked (perhaps by a mugger he hired), and then "saved" her by turning her into a vampire, claiming it was the only way to save her life.
The Transformation: The initial days were a blur of intense hunger, confusion, and fear. She struggled to understand what had happened and the implications of her new existence. Her ‘mentor’ provided minimal guidance, vaguely alluding to a responsibility she now had to him.
The First Feed: A traumatic experience. The ‘mentor’ pushes her to feed, but she is hesitant and disgusted and hurts someone she had a bond with. This event solidifies her internal conflict and fuels her desire to find a different path.
Escape: Realizing that her mentor is using her and that this life goes against everything she believes in, Jinx plans an escape, using her manipulative skills to trick him into believing she is loyal while secretly gathering information and resources. She leaves behind everything she knows, hurt but determined to be better.
She thinks she’s a terrible person for hurting people and thus, cuts off all her connections and withdraws into herself. She knows that if she forms bonds and relationships with people, she will be hurt and hurt them. And she is especially afraid of love, afraid of actually having something or someone to lose.
