Back when they first came out, I bought all of Anne Rice’s books, even the Mayfair Witch novels which I detested, all because I had to have a complete original Anne Rice set which was beautiful!

sky ~miss.littlereader~ (mslittlereader) | 0 comments Haunting Adeline for sure, I was so curious of what I am seeing at booktok and bookstagram that I immediately placed my order so that I could read it. And I was blown away from what I read.

Lyssa Paige | 1 comments Assistant to The Villain by Hannah Nicole Maehrer! I saw it all over TikTok and loved the description of the book. I preordered it on Amazon but wasn't guaranteed the first edition red edges so when I found it in a little local bookshop with the red edges I canceled my Amazon order, and bought it in person! I'm so excited to read it!

Paul This is slightly embarrassing, but I try to read both the Booker and National Book Award longlists every year. Most of the time I don’t regret it, then there’s “The Promise.”

Kaya ✨ | 11 comments It’s either highly recommended by someone I trust or is written by one of my favorite authors :)

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments I always look on amazon.com which new books were written by my many favorite authors.

One might expect that technology is meanwhile so far advanced that amazon would be capable to send me newsletters with my favorite author's newly published books, but they keep sending me newsletters with authors about whom I never heard of and who don't interest me the least.
Oh well...

Gloria | 10 comments I will confess that I borrow the books on my TBR list from my local library first. If after reading them I find I LOVE them, then I will buy them. The only exceptions are my absolute favorite authors and/or the next book of a series I have already purchased-those I buy immediately!!

Christine Mathieu | 948 comments Same here, I order the new Mary Higgins Clark novel, the new Charlotte Link novel, the new Nelson DeMille novel, the new Douglas Kennedy novel at amazon.de and amazon.com.

Every once in a while I still find an interesting book at our large public library, but not as often as I used to...
