i am being nice, but i js realized u dont know much ab the divorce stuff so summary: I lowk hate my step dad for everything he's done to my mom, I stopped seeing him as a father figure last year and stopped referring to him as my father and started using the term step dad instead, but as much as he's messed up, I know he's struggling and he still has feelings, and when i was a kid, I looked up to him sm and I always played with him and everything, and before we left, he was talking about all our memories and I felt so bad and lowk sad that I lost that connection w him even if it was rightfully so

I feel bad for him because my family was the only people he had left and now we're gone too, but it's completely his fault and he needs to learn his consequences. So I've been feeling guilty for avoiding him whenever my little brother calls him everyday bc I remembered him talking ab how he's gonna miss me a lot

@niyya oh i didn’t know that, ofc your mom always always comes first but that connection is strong esp if it was since you were a kid, it’s lowk really hard getting rid of all of that and forgetting it all and you just feel confused, my cousins have this (kind of) same type of experience with their mom and their dad (my uncle) where they love him as a father figure but they really hate what he did to their mom as a husband, so it’s a struggle to be able to differentiate between those things bcs ofc they love their mom a lot. but may Allah SWT make it easier for you habibti, keeping u in my duaas always 🫶🏽
