i don't want to be yelled at (sorry again), but in a lot of people's defenses, the majority of people who got fired up, he was attacking them personally, like being transphobic to storm and islamaphobic to...a lot of people, and you can probably agree it's not really the type of thing you can just laugh it off. i think, considering how hurtful it could have been, some people handled it as well as they could have.

Hate and misinformation have no place in this world. There's been so much misinformation roaming around about Islam and it's disgusting to see. As children we're being told so many things about their religion like 'it doesn't support female rights,' 'they hate christians,' 'they're violent' etc. And as kids we just blatantly swallow whatever adults say. I was told something similar to these lines when I was a kid too (not by my parents but by those aunties and uncles) but as I grew up I started to see that no group of people are as 1 dimensional as they say.
Unlike me, there are so many different people whose brains have these false statements drilled into them, Creed is simply an example of it.
