Nooo I’m not Egyptian, I’m Somali but when the war in Somalia broke out, my moms family went to Egypt for ten years, so my mom spent elementary, middle, and part of hs in Egypt so a lot of Egyptian culture is mixed in our house (also a lot of my family live there rn)

today:

I went to bed at 1 am bc we cleaned, steamed our clothes, and my mom was cooking🥰

then I woke up at 4am and took a shower and changed

we left at 6:45am even tho Eid Salah started at 8:35 bc we're always late and last time, the distance was 20 mins but bc of Eid traffic, it took us 1 hour and 15 minutes

we got there at 7:00 and relaxed in the car for 45 minutes


went inside and listened to the takbeer until 8:30 and then prayed Eid Salah and hugged people Eid mubarak


We left at 9 and went to a place called main street, a super cute cozy town nearby, and took pictures there

Left there at 10:30.... um anyways... went to a indian restaurant to eat breakfast by 11 (Dahi Puri and Chana bhatura)

got home at 12 and now I'm js chilling, I have to go see my friend for her grad party for 1ish 2ish hours before going to go see a comedy malayalam movie called "Grrr" (my sister and I laughed over the title for a good 20 minutes its so preppy)

I have AD old name was Aspergers syndrome and I also have combined type ADHD which means I have the hyperactive but also the inattentive.

If your able to get ahold of any type of caffeine drink some if it relax's you its a wicked easy way to see if you have ADHD. Caffeine tends to relax a person with ADHD and can sometimes put them to sleep

coffee is literally my relaxant (is that an actual word?) It gets me so calm and drowsy when I have it sometimes. I can't live without it.

I would say then you do have ADHD. But then again I am not a professional. I actually sometimes when my ADHD meds are on a lower dose then I need I tend to get a refresher from Starbucks (only way I can get caffeine in) and I tend to be calmer for the time being

I was diagnosed really little. But that's the same when I need more help then just therapy can do more so inpatient and she says "oh your fine" only time she will take me is if its involuntary and I am forced to go. I can't ask

I once had a mental breakdown at home and spilled to my mum about all my thoughts (very depressive and other dark stuff) and she laughed at me and scoffed, sarcastically asked if I was being serious and left it at that

I live in a very controlling and abusive household. They would rather me study then have any sort of technology and don't want me hanging out with people at all

Honestly, my parents are pretty strict too. I don't get to go out with friends, have a set limit of 30 minutes of screen time today (limited to texting and calling mostly), they slap me, and they're always after me to study. but I don't think that that's abusive or controlling, they just genuinely care about how my life will turn out and don't want me to be lazy, white-washed, jobless etc, unlike a lot of parents who just have no thoughts for their children. But maybe that's just desi culture.
