brother’s best friendmost of the time the brother gets too involved in everything I don’t like it
the playboy/bad boy meeting a girl and magically changing his ways has always been an ick for me. Also pregnancy/kid trope is something that I don’t really enjoy reading.
"I hate everyone but u and am just grumpy and act like a baby all the time" this includes Aaron warner
fake dating, enemies to lovers (sometimes i do like them but as a whole not my favourite trope)

I feel like the stalker romance is really popular right now, and I just don't vibe with it, that freaks me out 😅 and I've never been a fan of second chance either

@Esma P Yes I don't like 2nd chance romance much either. But if that's fast paced I don't mind . But I love marriage in crisis tho XD

It’s not a trope but I heavily dislike it, when the guy isn’t rich or powerful?! Or when he’s just a complete loser. Like there are enough of those irl I don’t have to read about them xd lmfao.
I don't like love triangles, the pregnancy trope, and "everyone (including my family) thinks i'm really weak and fragile... except him." (typically I love "except him" tropes but not this one)
Mafia romances (most of them are the same shit, over and over again, maybe i just read many of them but idk) and pregnancy trope (and then "useing" the baby as an excuse to get together)
Love triangle/square/pentagon/hexagon all centered around one oblivious girl (looking at you kotlc)

i'm personally not that into anything u mentioned before, but the biggest ick is always when the bad guy is "rescued" by the girl and becomes a better person until they break up and he goes back to his old ways
I can deal with most things if done well, except for the cheating trope, the one when one of the main characters in a romance cheats on the other main character. Cheating in general is pretty bad, but I can get over it if they cheat on the obvious non love interest that is clearly just there to add drama (wouldn't like it irl but it's fiction) but if the book is sold as a ROMANCE and we are meant to root for *that* couple in particular, why would you add in the most unforgivable trope between THEM? it's just ughhhh.
surprise pregnancy is a big NO for me
Mafia and Surprise pregnancy give big icks. golden retriever/black cat are overused. Fake Dating….i actually kind of like🤫

This is really specific, but when the guy has no emotion or is just so calm all the time and something crazy will happen and he just acts like it’s normal. LIKE I WANNA SEE YOUR EMOTIONS AND FEEL YOUR PAIN AND HAPPINESS.
love triangles are cringe to mepregnancy would be too except I’ve never read a book with that trope

Y'all are about to really dislike me rn but it's Enemies to lovers. So many authors will market their book as "enemies to lovers" and that's not what it is at all! Sometimes, when the enemies DO become lovers, it's like they no longer have that banter and it's FRUSTRATING. The trope, when done well, is so good and I do eat it up. However, most of these books do not do it well, even when they have the potential.
Second chance romance; unexpected pregnancy; grumpy x sunshine (unless the roles are reverse); stalker;
I mean idk why I'm just not a fan of this trope and I have no particular reason :)
