1. Her writting style is unique
2. She talks to her readers and asks them many questions on what she should write next.
3. Her covers on her books are beautiful
4. She does write romance noves but she does color code them on how spicy they are and if they are too mature for younger readers.
5. I started reading her books this year and so far have read five of her book and i am still buying more.
6. Whats also great is that you can read 2 of her books back to back and not get lost.
7. She doesnt just write romance novels she also addes psychological thrillers to them. So, if you like that then i suggest you read Verity. That book was so good.
8.If you need nay book suggestions i am great at finding great books. I got my friend addicted to colleen hoover and we started our very own little book club. We read reminders of him and ever since she has wanted to read more.
Hope this helps.

but if her books interest you go for it, i dont like her very much though

Reminder's of him is my favourite, it had me so emotional. I also loved Verity and Ugly Love.
My least favs were Regretting You and November 9.

The 2 books I read of hers were garbage.

My first book was Ugly Love and it had me literally sobbing near the end when Miles past is discovered and being a sucker for "Smut scenes" I like how much there was, it's mostly a romance with friends and benefits trope (note that every book by her has a heart-wrenching plot that you either connect with or don't, no in between) that book was a 5 stars.
Then I read It Ends With Us I think and being the most popular book I had expectations that reached the sky but I was a bit disappointed, I still thought it was absolutely genius cause you know, it's CoHo. And the fact that it's inspired by her mother's true life story and the fact that Atlas the MMC is the perfectest guy ever earned it a 4 stars. (I was a little bored sometimes I felt some details weren't needed so I didn't give it the last star) A "romance" that's dealing with a serious life topic, domestic abuse.
Next one was All Your Perfects and I have nothing to say other than it was so cute and agonising at the same time, for it was going back and forth between past and present time when Quinn and Graham first met, and their struggles after they married. It's like two completely different stories but it makes you understand these characters more and gives them more consistency and makes them feel so real. A 5 stars romance for me but it had a little cheating trope that didn't derange me, you should give it a try.
Then I read November 9 I think and OMG that book was SO GOOD it still hold a special place in my heart after a while year, I loved everything about it from the romance to the characters to the plot twist and also loved hating the hatable characters. Obviously a 5 stars too.
Then I read It Stars With Us the day it was released and actually at the exact moment too, I downloaded it and didn't care that I was in math class lol. A lot of people think it wasn't necessary and that It Ends With Us is good enough without that book two but I don't think that. In book one the story only turns around Lily and how she deals with the problems she's facing. But in book two, being a dual pov, we got more of Atlas and his background, his life, his personality and made him even more likeable. We also get to have the real ending of all Lily's struggles. A solid 5 stars without hesitation.
This year started with me reading Verity. Even though it was different from the usual romance since it's a psychological thriller it was absolutely amazing just like everything else I read until then. The plot was incredible and the plot twist even more, the romance was good enough and the open ending had me going insane and I look up for theories on internet for DAYS too know what to believe, it has no rape in it as others are saying. Even though I'm really hard to scare I did get chills. It was enough to be a 5 stars.
Then I read Regretting You I think. first book of her I hated for a while. I had such huge expectations because my book bestie and I labeled Ugly Love as our favourite book ever and then she told me that Regretting You was her new one. I was so disappointed because it had the miscommunication trope and I hate that. I actually loved the beginning of the book, then when everything started getting messy I loved it too since I love the drama but every time the mother and daughter came face-to-face and just refused to talk to get over things it was SO ANGRY I actually threw that book many time. I was convinced it would be a 3 stars for the romance and the writing and every moment where mother and daughter weren't together (my first 3 stars book) but the ending really made up for it, so it's a 4 stars.
Then I read Heart Bones in french and when I read in french, being one of the main languages I speak, I'm never too invested cause I feel it's just too easy. it was a cute summer read with lovable characters and still a great plot twist like always. So a 4 stars.
Most recently (a few days ago) I read Hopeless and I can tell you that now this one's my favourite colleen hoover type of romance book ever, not even joking, it had me sobbing for half of the book and I related to most of the FMC's struggles since some happened to me too and I just felt that book was written for me. It was easily a 5 stars and even more stars if there were more to give. But I recommend checking the trigger warnings to this one if you are sensitive and some topics trigger you. Mostly a romance with childhood friends to lovers trope.
Today I finished Confess and being sick I couldn't really focus on the reading so I just listened to an audiobook I found on YouTube and it really helped me and I just love this book so much, it has art involved and being an artist I loved that, the romance on top like every other romance is just amazing. I didn't really feel it had a huge plot twist but I really like the ending, it's a 4 stars.
I'll be reading Losing Hope next soon and I hope my experience has helped you and convinced you to give CoHo a try <3 I recommend going ever some of this completely blind or knowing just a little of it and having no expectations, it helps with the surprise for the plot twist and the romance too :)
Enjoy you reading !

ugly love was kinda disappointing

Umm her writing style is kinda unique and I agree that some of her books are trash (i'm sorry). You should verity it is a nice book. it'll leave you with a lot of questions. you should give it a try.

you should definitely read verity. It's the book that convinced me to read more books of her. I'll read layla next. I heard it's like verity.

Actually, it didn't just remind me, it's actually the same. More like the spicy fanfiction of the beautifully written gothic classic, and no one seems to talk about that. There was nothing original in Verity and yes, I judged her based on that.

After a very long reading hiatus, I wanted to get back into reading. The year was 2021. I kept hearing about Colleen Hoover, so naturally, I had to read a few of her books to see what all the hype was about. The books feature mindbogglingly dense and stupid female characters. I just couldn't deal with them. I wanted to slap these dumb morons so bad. After that I decided to solely read fantasy books which led me to SJM. I didn't realize it at that time but SJM is the CH of the fantasy genre. Long story short, nowadays I only read detective novels and crime fiction because the romance genre was destroyed by these two authors!

I like reading her books and all the ones I have read have all been 5 stars. They are really easy for me to read and dont take me longer then 2 weeks to finish. Most books take me around 3 weeks to finish. She doesnt use massive tricky words that are hard to understand. The plots of the books are always really good and intresting and true to life. I think if you want to read it just read it and dont listen to other people if they are saying dont. You can read whatever you like and thats that.
