Most of these books, in my experience, are either in the Young Adult section or the biographies and memoirs. But there are still plenty of options to choose from!

Jeanne | 30 comments The Bone Palace by Amanda Downum has a really interesting trans character. She's the mistress of a member of the royal family and plays a major role in the story. The book is the second book in a series, but can probably be read as a stand alone. The first book wrapped up its storyline, and this is a completely different story with just a few characters from the first book.
