Yeah, I can definitely agree with you on that... I really want to know more about the people she eats lunch with, Oliver, and Mika though because I think it would help with Sam and Julie's character development as well as advance the plot because I feel like the pot is dragging a little. Definitely think that Liam and Taylor are bratty and don't care to much for their characters. I don't think the book is boring, but I will admit that I'm not enjoying it as much as I thought I would.

I also think that if Julie and Oliver don't end up together then Oliver will admit he had the same feelings as Julie towards Sam.
tbh, i'm curious on what would happen and how it'll happen cause i remember reading about the call connection not being entirely stable if julie calls in the most random time and not the time they've decided to do it!
Lucy wrote: "I also think that if Julie and Oliver don't end up together then Oliver will admit he had the same feelings as Julie towards Sam."true true, i feel like there's a 50/50 chance she accepts oliver cause in one of the calls, she was hellbent on not moving on from sam romantically-
Yeah, I also wonder about that too because I want to know why it takes him longer to pick up... it's just weird. It's almost like he is not really dead, only in a different world if that makes sense. I wonder if there are actually a set amount of phone call that they have before the connection is lost or if Sam just wants Julie to move on. Like there are so many questions I have and not enough answers.
I think she will finally realize that she has to move on for her own good, but as to if she will get with Oliver, I think it's a 50/50 chance.

Ok so like the entire ‘not dead’ part you mentoned above feels a little like stranger things when one of the boy (idk the name i only remember Will-) get’s captured by the first monster in s1 and lives in that dark world that is exactly the earth/the place he lives? The cover also sorta gives me that vibe!
Yeah it is kinda giving me that vibe too, although I have never seen stranger things… I’ve only heard from friends about it.
I’m game for whatever… I should be able to read when I get home from school tomorrow. I’m currently on chapter 11.
ok im so sorry i've been caught up with school work! i'll def finish till 14 today and let you know here! sorry again!
Oh it is all good! I actually got a little carried away and finished it last night. We can discuss at any point you would like.
Ummmm did I like it? I don’t want to influence your opinions so idk if I should share at the moment lol
YOU COULD SAY THAT! I DON’T ‘LOVE’ LOVE IT BUT YOU KNOW…I ALSO DON’T HATE IT! I THINK I’LL GIVE IT A 4.5 STARS!
I think it just fell a little flat for me. Now it might be the fact that it is a very hyped book and normally when I rate books that are really popular on booktok/booktube I do tend to be more harsh on there ratings. I was also wanting to know more about Sam as well as the side characters. For Sam, sam’s cousin (can’t remember her name right now), and Oliver to be such important characters in the long run, I feel like I knew next to nothing about them. I also could not really connect with Julie’s character so the book didn’t ultimately make me feel like I though it was going to.
Thank you so much and I am so glad that you enjoyed the book!! Thank you so much for buddy reading it with me!
Thanks for buddy reading this with me tho lucy! I had fun doing it with you! Tho i was pretty slow (im blaming my school work for that) so sorry bout that tho!
Oh don't worry about it! I was slow in places too... I blame it on my pre-Calc and chemistry class lol
