I got the clockwork angel today which ik is book 1 in the infernal devices but can anyone tell me the right order to read the whole universe? And is it okay to start with the clockwork angel?

ideally you should read in the exact order that cassandra clare (i think it’s like 3 books of mortal instruments and then clockwork angel but you can google it and check the years!) released them in because that way you’ll get zero spoilers for the series. but personally i don’t like the mortal instruments series, but LOVVEEE the rest of the books, so you might be a LOT discouraged to continue with the series if you read it first. and if you read the clockwork series (the BEST) first you’ll have some spoilers for mortal instruments. it comes down to patience only ig😭

I read the first mortal instruments book and did not like it. but I LOVED tid and tlh. then I read a couple more tmi books but still disliked them. also started lady midnight but dnfed it. basically I greatly prefer the historical books haha
