Ava was one selfish B***h! But it does take two to tango and the fiancé seemed to get a pass for the thing. What stupid dope would have sex this his fiancée's sister right in the house with her there? It strains the mind just how stupid this asshat was. I'm amazed Ellie even talked to any of them again.
In this case, Ava and John deserve each other! The only family member to understand Ellie was her other sister Annie.
Thanks for the reminder about Annie. I was thinking the whole family was pretty dysfunctional but I did like Annie. I'm glad she got a happy ending.
I never got past how self-centered Ava is and how she betrayed her own sister. I can't say I understand why the parents backed her and turned their backs on Ellie but it was unforgivable in my eyes. I do think it's a crying shame that no one seemed to blame John. It was the old mentality of "boys will be boys"!!
I couldn't stand Ava and how she treated her sister. She wants Ellie in her wedding so people will believe that Ellie is good with Ava's relationship with John. That's dumb. All that will cause is more gossip as people say "Can you believe Ellie would be in her wedding after she slept with Ellie's fiance?"I would think the parents would corner Ava and tell her that she and John owe Ellie a big apology. Until that was done, I find it hard to believe that the parents would help with the wedding at all. I was disappointed in them, especially the mother who wanted to smooth everything over like it never happened.
The parents were a big disappointment for me too, Robin. They enabled Ava's more behavior and gave Ellie zero support. I know there is often a "favorite child" in families, but their blindness when it comes to Ava is ridiculous.
