Sue S | 558 comments I got through a very quick YA audiobook - another one set in two countries

message 52: by Kat (new)

Kat | 568 comments I had the day off yesterday so managed to finish 2 books- The Magpie Lord and Stardust. They were both quick and easy. The only other book I had planned for the week is for the main ATY challenge that Im not looking forward to so started looking for distractions. I finally got a copy of Love, Theoretically so started that before work.

message 53: by Rose (new)

Rose | 52 comments Finished Victory of Eagles and Fourth Wing, both of which complete basically all the same prompts. 😂

message 54: by Kat (new)

Kat | 568 comments This week is going so quickly! There are only 2 prompts left for the first round and quite a few second round prompts already filled.

message 55: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments I started My Roommate Is a Vampire today which will work for the entertainment and arts of trivial pursuit if no one else gets there first.

message 56: by Roxana (new)

Roxana (luminate) | 779 comments I feel like I've barely read anything for the last two days, but I'm still around! Just jumping back and forth between a couple of longish books plus one I have to get read for book club but don't really like, sob. (Unfortunately, none of these are set in India 😅)

Charlsa (cjbookjunkie) | 703 comments I finished When in Rome today (character takes any kind of risk) and am starting As long As The Lemon Trees Grow. This one fits a book where a war is involved.

Sue S | 558 comments I am doing my best with my "set in India" book, but it's not an easy read. I will definitely finish it before the end of the weekend though. Have also started another audiobook which fits several prompts - Loud

message 59: by Roxana (new)

Roxana (luminate) | 779 comments Finished Pride and Prejudice and It Ends with Us - one a beloved reread, the other a book I hated but had to get through for a book club, lol. Anyway, got those both on prompts, and I'm going back to The Secret History for the rest of the day I think.

message 60: by Charlsa (new)

Charlsa (cjbookjunkie) | 703 comments I just finished As Long as the Lemon Trees Grow. It fits a book with a war involved. Excellent book about the war in Syria.

message 61: by Kat (new)

Kat | 568 comments I finished the last book I had planned for the week. I have started a readathon in another group so trying to find something that works for both for the last day and a half.

We've now finished 2 rounds of Clue and only have 1 prompt to fill for the second round of Risk and Game of Life.

Mod Note: Quick reminder that you have until the end of the day on Monday to post your individual challenge in the completion thread. We only have 5ish entries submitted so far, so you have a great chance of getting picked to choose a prompt for our 2024 list! Just wanted to make sure this message reaches as many Read-a-Thon participants as possible... carry on with your team challenge!

message 63: by Sue (new)

Sue S | 558 comments I have finished another audiobook - fascinating account of the life of the world's first female roadie who worked with all the most famous rock stars in the 70s, 80s, 90s... - it got me through lots of gardening and cooking! Coded as a book with a circle on the cover

message 64: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments I haven't had much chance to read today, sorry! I'll try and squeeze a few pages in before bed.

message 65: by Rose (new)

Rose | 52 comments Been a little distracted this week, but hoping to finish another couple books this weekend!

message 66: by Sue (new)

Sue S | 558 comments Finally finished The Siege of Krishnapur. It's Sunday afternoon here so I will get some more pages read before tonight but won't finish another book. It's been fun!

message 67: by Roxana (new)

Roxana (luminate) | 779 comments Time zones are wild, here in California it’s still Saturday night and I’ve got so much more reading planned 😂

Just finished Greek Lessons, by Han Kang. I put it on two-word title. I used it for the year-long challenge’s “school subject in the title” and I can’t recommend it highly enough, a beautiful book.

message 68: by Kat (new)

Kat | 568 comments It's Sunday lunchtime for me. I just finished a book so don't think I will manage another full one. I have a lazy afternoon planned so I'll see what happens.

message 69: by Ellie (new)

Ellie (patchworkbunny) | 2999 comments If finished My Roommate Is a Vampire which wasn't as fun I was hoping it to be. I'm not sure it fits anything useful considering the time we have left.

message 70: by Charlsa (new)

Charlsa (cjbookjunkie) | 703 comments I've finished everything I'm going to read for the team challenge.

Roxana (luminate) | 779 comments One last book for me - The Hundred Days, which includes a royal character. Thanks for another fun readathon, teammates!

message 72: by Kat (new)

Kat | 568 comments I finished the week with 7 books read. I tried to fit a final one in on Sunday but it just didn't happen.

Between us we filled 49 prompts which is great.

It's been fun to read along with you all.
