Lily.J❀ | 70 comments I keep procrastinating on reading atm, even though I’m enjoying the books I am reading. Any ideas on how I can motivate myself to read more/stop procrastinating?

Frankie | 50 comments I always set aside a certain amount of time just to read. Usually at night, in the morning or in between homework. My life is based a lot around being logical and calculated so I love that time just to forget everything else and just absorb the novel.

Courtney 📚 | 8 comments Go for quality not quantity. Make time for a book and commit to reading at least 5-10 pages per night, if feasible. Never force yourself to read a book that you truly don't like. And be willing to read differently-audible book, then a physical book, then a book on Kindle. I have to change things up. If not, I'll find myself slacking away from a love I've had since my pre-teen years.

also I've been watching videos on YouTube of people using a random number generator to help them randomly choose an amount of minutes or hours they read that day - this week I wanted to try something like this but I decided to do it with pages. I set it to 30-100 pages and aim to read whatever number it generates in pages that day and that was fun!

Luffy Sempai (luffy79) One day, if it happens, you might begin to tire of the books you have read so far. If that doesn't happen, everything is fine. But if your reading tastes change, then do change genres and authors and do change the type of books you read.

Either option is equally desirable.

Angel | 426 comments I just gotta force myself to stop scrolling on my phone and maybe turn on a sleep mode if I’m feeling really distracted. once I do that it’s much easier for me to get into the book

Kasi | 38 comments Just take a break from reading.
Trust me, it works.

It happened to me, I feel into a reading slump. But I just took a break from reading and when i felt like it, i picked up a book and it was sooo much better than forcing myself to read.

After all it's supposed to be fun, not something we have to force ourselves to do. So if you don't feel like reading just take a break for a while.
