Why wasn't my application to be a librarian accepted?

Or they should have said that they don't need new ones from the start (before they make you study the manuals and take the test).
Or they should be more transparent in their requirements - X books on the shelves and passing the test is obviously not enough to be accepted as a librarian.
Well, nevermind. I just feel like I'm begging every time I request a new edition or a new book/edition/book cover to be added... sometimes never getting a response.... when I could easily add the book/edition/cover myself.

I used to add lots of completed fanfiction (and quite some nōn-English books or editions of books; one would think they’d like to have diversity beyond the USA but, nooooo), with as much data as I could get from them (some added them without even a description, ugh), back when nōn-Librarians could do that, but I don’t have the nerve to do that in free-form in a request here every single time, and I’ve always wanted to be able to extend and/or correct data on existing stuff I read. Oh well.

Please note that no notification is sent if an applicant is not accepted to the program.
Maybe "No further correspondence will be entered into." could be added to this?

The only other thing we can tell you is to make sure you mention what languages you speak & your level of fluency when you apply.
Thanks for the notification Carol. A rejection notification is something we'd like to add in the future and I'll let the team know it's being asked for here.

Are new librarians still "hired" (I know they are not paid for it)? Or are there enough librarians as it is? I use goodreads a lot and see that that is a lot of things missing, editions, page numbers, covers.... So I just wanted to help.
