Chelsea (wolfkeepadri) | 3 comments I use to read avidly when I was younger, and I haven't been reading as much as I'd like. So this year I'm going to try and tackle 5 books. It's not a lot, but I'm a slow reader. I'm thinking about starting with "One Hundred Years of Solitude" by Gabriel Garcia Marquez. I'm not sure where to go from there, but I'm excited to get back into the swing of things and hopefully pick up the pace!

Uda (uehg) | 7 comments I really loved Eleanor and Park. 5 stars not enough. She really climbs into the hearts and brains of these teens, both trying to survive their adolescence. The love story is epic, in that first love soul defying way, and you are rooting for them. Def recommend.

One hundred years of solitude is one of my all time faves. I love magic realism and Gabriel Garcia Marquez is both a storyteller and a poet. Enjoy!

Uda (uehg) | 7 comments I haven't read that - will have to check it out. Thxs

Uda (uehg) | 7 comments Just finished 'Y' by Marjorie Celona. Beautifully written book about a baby abandoned in front of a local YMCA. We see her fall into the foster care system and struggle to find her identity. A brutal story but her resilience helps her to find her path.

Now beginning 'The Girl on the Train.'
