Agatha is a lonely, pregnant woman who stocks shelves in a London supermarket. Meghan is a beautiful woman with two children, a handsome husband, a popular 'mommy' blog, a community of friends, and a pregnant belly as large as Agatha's. One afternoon Agatha feels bold enough to speak to Meghan and the two begin a friendship based on due dates, baby clothes and dreams for their future. Meghan has no idea, however, that this encounter will change her life forever. Both women carry deep, dark secrets deep within themselves that would ruin their lives if the truth were known.
It is difficult to know how to review this story without giving too much away. I really enjoyed it and the audio was quite well done. The novel is told in alternating chapters by Agatha and Meghan so that the suspense builds slowly but inevitably towards a shocking event and an interesting ending. I think this is the first book I have read by this author but it certainly will not be the last. Well done!
