you should also read From Blood and Ash! it's an enemies to lovers trope as well. although there is smut in it. I'd probably rate it 6/10 smut wise.

I read Shatter Me the first and second time without the novellas. The novellas definitely add a little more insight into the story but they’re not necessary. I have read the novellas but you can understand the books just as well without them
