How do you decide what to read next? Every time I'm going book shopping I stack like 15 books and have an existential crisis and a financial one.

Usually if I’m trying to decide between books I play a very hard game of choosing between two and then two until I narrow it down to how many books I can afford and if I’m down to 2 and can’t decide I pick the cheapest lol
books are so freaking expensive & I have a never ending TBR. so I prefer ebook.. especially kindle and buy only those book which I kr are good so I don't end up wasting a lot of money
i started to stack up books in my kindle instead of buying all of the books in my tbr , because im not that rich :’)
I have a huge TBR list so what helped me is going through that list and splitting it in two categories. The first category being What IS ON Kindle Unlimited and the second being What's NOT on Kindle Unlimited. I try to only buy books that aren't on KU because it saves me lots of money. However, I have read a few books that I enjoyed so much on KU that I had to buy the paperback version.I also saw this really cool idea of doing a TBR jar. It looked really cool. You can always look into doing that!
I do a sort of March Madness type of line up. I then flip a coin. I don't look at it. Which side had i been subconsciously hoping for? that one wins. If i can't decide, i do what the coin tells me.
What I do is I get this glass jar and fill it with books I want to read or that are on my TBR list. I have two separate jars. One for books I have in my possession and the other for books I want to read but need to buy. Once I finish a book I'll shake the jar and dig around and pull out a slip of paper and whatever I get I go read or buy. Hope this Helps! :)
I’m a big mood reader so I just go for whatever I’m really feeling in that moment. If I read a bit and don’t like it I’ll switch and try that book again later haha. If I’m up for whatever I’ll ask someone else to pick for me
