I haven't done any book swap/exchange myself ... But I was thinking of just give them some of my books. Those that are still in good conditions but I can live without.

I also have the same attachment to my dear books. But my rooom's so full with books and stuff, it's so messy.

I have exchange I book to my friend since I found out that book isn't my favourite anymore. Just for 5 ringgit!

That would be the first and last one. I hope next time I won't make the same mistake again.

Try again, Ask. Maybe next time, you like what you find.

It's kinda fun for such events to be held nearby our house.

It would be a dream come true if MPH or Popular, or even Kinokunya right behind my house.

Hahaha. Just my imaginary though.

:p

@Ask

Having a mega bookstore behind my house would be a living nightmare because I would want to go there and buy everything! Serious freaking nightmare lol!

My, you sure are bookaholic then which reminds me my old days.

Everytime I went to a bookstore my mom will give me a serious glare which means :

"Only one book can be buy. Just one."

That's was long ago. Right now I make a booklist which need to be bought or otherwise I take all the books at the store

That was exactly how I was when I was about 8 years old :D
And I thought parents are supposed to support good habit. Haha!

David (aberrant80) | 11 comments Thanks for the info. I'm too lazy to go all the way into the city centre. I do have some extra books (read: duplicates) that I don't mind giving away for some other books :D

message 13: by Jasmin (new)

Jasmin Mohd-zain Hi - my name is Jasmin :)
I have a Facebook page called Bookenders - Book Exchange Page. I am a booknut and have many books in my home. Any one of you here in KL who want to exchaneg books can join up that FB page and we can trade books for free !

I want to do this because

1. i would like to discover new authors but i don't want to incur the cost of the book to test read their writing style.

2. i don'tlike to borrow library books because there is a time limit to return the books. And i always forget to make it on time - so i always end up paying the fine (sigh...)

3. you may like to be friends with me hwne we meet up ..hihihi.

So if you feel a little adventure is what you need now, do go to Bookenders at FB and add my page.

Here's to discovering new authors, genres and new humans too :D

Smile always

Jasmin
