what did we all think of the better than revenge lyric change??

Heya I'm new here! Was wondering what everyone's opinion is on the changed lyrics of Better Than Revenge TV? Also what did you think of the song overall?? I feel like the hype around Speak Now TV died down now that 1989 TV is coming out :((

I feel like a lot of people didn’t like the lyric change but I’m personally all here for it. Overall I think it’s a really fun and catchy song.

Wait what was the change? I’ve found TV to mostly just disappoint me (that’s just my taste of course :P) so I only listen to the vault tracks now.

I love Speak Now it’s my fave album. BTR is the second song I learned on the album and I don’t mind the lyric change, I love it nonetheless :)

I think the whole song has misogynistic undertones, so I really don't see the point of the change 😭 Like surely "She's not a saint and she's not what you think
She's an actress" and "But no amount of vintage dresses gives you dignity" etc etc those are also lyrics that don't scream feminism? So why change one lyric when the point of the song is exactly the same? Plus, "he was a month to the flame she was holding the matches" still makes it sound like the guy had no play in what happened and blames the woman for it!

I don't like the new lyric but I do like Speak Now TV a lot! And even Better Than Revenge TV actually sounds better overall in my opinion, like the drums are a lot clearer and Taylor's voice all grown up I love it!
