Has some of you read the midnight library?

i did, and tbh i hated it. like i got the message, but i just didn't find it inspiring or beautiful.

For me, it was hard to get into - especially the start but also the first half (definitely not a super light read). Buttt I definitely don’t regret reading it and once I was hooked on the plot I really enjoyed it, probably because the message was comforting when you are going through life changes/ pressures of life are getting to you 💞

I liked it has first but the more I thought about it the more I started to dislike it. The depiction on mental illness is really bad and judgmental. I probably gave it too many stars.

I just finished it and loved it! While I felt that some aspects were mis/underrepresented, I also felt that the overall “moral” was helpful and made the book as good as I thought it was. I found it to be perfect as I’m at a transition point between college and a career and looking back on certain regrets. It changed my perspective on where I am at and where I’m going in a positive way.
