Please update/add language variants in "Ave Lira" and "Allegra"
date
newest »

On the book edit page is a drop down menu for languages. There is no option to type a language yourself.
The dropdown menu only has "Spanish" in the list.
Since the book page was updated, the language shown on the book page is not always the same as the one picked from the drop down menu, in this case "Spanish" shows as "Spanish; Castilian".
There is nothing Librarians can do about this. I can only recommend that you contact GR Support: https://www.goodreads.com/about/conta... so they are aware of this issue.

In any case, I'm all for removing the "Castillian" part and just leave it as "Spanish" (as it used to be).

I hope I'm adding this request/topic on the right board. ^_^
I would really appreciate it, please, if the Spanish variant used for the Spanish versions of Ave Lira and Allegra by Cecelia Ahern could be changed from Castilian to Mexico or Mexican, since the translations are not into Spanish from Spain.
This is obvious in words such as "chongo", "voltear" or "escondidas" in Ave Lira, and "regadera" or "alberca" in Allegra, among other examples, which are Mexican Spanish.
Updating this would help avoid confusion for the readers who don't speak that specific variant.
Please take this into account also when adding more information to the paperback version of Allegra / Freckles since that's still missing.
Thank you very much in advance for your help!
