What inspired the clock being named Eddy? I was guessing it might be random since the neighborhood is described as something like what you see in Edward Scissorhands....on page 375 in ebook currently
Are you a fan of the old Time Machine movie? This scene spooked me as a child when my dad introduced me to it! Lolhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_XQ5...
This is what I imagined the people in Lacuna's Point to be acting like

Hey Erika! The Edward Scissorhands reference is a good call because the neighborhood definitely has that vibe. But Eddy actually came from a water eddy - a spiral or vortex - and that's how I pictured the layout of the town when things started to change geographically. The novel was actually titled EDDY'S POINT in its early stages!

Oh wow! That's a good comparison! Definitely a spooky scene. Never actually saw this film, but I'm gonna have to watch it now!

Thanks for reading, Hayley! I'm so happy you enjoyed it. As for your interpretation of the ending, I would say you're exactly right!

That scene also reminded me of that movie. When the Morlocks call, you must answer. . . . .

Now into Part 3 at the 57% mark. Stranger and stranger, weirder and weirder. I like the mystery and hoping it all gets explained before it ends.
I just finished this evening. Wow, the last part of this moves rather quickly and I just had to finish it. Tim, your version of cosmic horror finally won me over. Great job! Here's my 99% spoiler-free review . . . . .
