SOLVED. Science Fiction Dystopian??? [s]

It starts with this middle aged man with a family in the distant future. Society and almost any kind of big government has gone to crap and so they survive with another family or two. It could have possibly been a small village. While the men were hunting they, and their families, were taken into this "perfect" city where the "old ways," our current ways, could be found. They even had the delicacy of ice cream. But each person has to wear either a watch or something around their wrist that, if attempted to remove, would kill you. The men from the village are upset that they are basically prisoners and try to get out. The last thing I remember was they had a bomb in place at the main building and had several guards killed or taken prisoner.
The trigger was if the button is lifted the bomb would go off so they made a deal with those in charge and gave them the bomb so they could leave the building with their lives. But they had a decoy and a guard turned a body over to identify them and there was the bomb, triggered, and the building went up in flames. The whole city was then freed.

Paper book and I read it in 2009. But I just barely found the book by another site. Thank you for your help and I'll change the status to found. :)
