Mavis | 58 comments Alright so i actually love the acotar series yes but it was really hard to get through because after the 1 book i was in a big reading slump for like 1 month or so if you ask why: shara j.maas her writing style is just kind of „complicated“ see it also may been the world bulding that is complicated what so ever in the 2-3 book i ugh…just couldn’t get through that fast but after that i actually finished the last book pretty fast to my surprise but would i reread the acotar series. No
Well idk how its going to be for you but if you decide to read it hopefully you’ll get through fast and enjoy it but if you want to read a book with an easy writing style and easy world building i would recommend
The folk of the air series (cruel prince series)
Or
Shatter me series

hannah *ੈ✩‧₊˚ | 5 comments I honestly loved it and I finished all her books (including her other series) so fast - basically 1 book/day. Her writing style is really easy to follow and she goes into depth with all the characters/world building - which made it really fun for me to read because I could easily visualise everything.

On top of that the plot of the ACOTAR series was a page turner for me (subjective, I know a lot of readers found the first book boring but I was sucked in okay). I believe most of the negatives reviews about the series are about the smut or character flaws but if you can look past these I think you’re in for a good time!
