In this case, I'm especially interested in "files hosted on a personal file sharing service (even if the content would otherwise qualify as a book)". I couldn't find this item anywhere in the manual, has he policy changed?

Well, Jaclyn changed that page and now the links are circular.

Somehow the Non-book Items page got changed to mostly address magazines and shorts. I don't know why/how that got changed to not include a lot of stuff that are now and have always been Non book items.

To answer your question, I don't think anything is valid when it is pubished behind a wall where you have to sign in to read the book.
