I just have to rant here for a minute. I understand in books authors will often put things in the book that doesn't even pertain to the story and as I was reading chapter 11 all happy and stuff while having my morning coffee I happened to read the part where she finds the chained up dog that's obviously been used for dog fighting or is being beaten to death. Reading this chapter about brought tears to my eyes and I almost couldn't finish the chapter. Is there even a point in this? Why in God's great name would Michelle put this in the book?!?! I almost don't even want to finish reading the book now! I just can't believe or even understand why or how she even wrote this chapter does she have no heart? Ugh..I'm sorry this chapter just really ticked me off and if there is going to be more of this in the book I want no further part in the book. I can deal with gore, and creepy stuff but animal abuse is where I draw the line.

Brittain *Needs a Nap and a Drink* It's important to the book. It helps Mara grow in many ways and it gives her something to look back on later. Animal abuse is a sad reality in the world and Mara's world is no different. This poor dog is a catalyst to the development of Mara's powers.

thank you for cleaning that lol

Brittain *Needs a Nap and a Drink* And the interaction between the dog and Noah is worth it :-)

Ashli Barrera And it's first when she discovers her powers

Ashli Barrera Well....not really discovering them but doing it unconsciously
