I’ve noticed we are narrowing down our weapon options. I’ll have to screen more carefully.
Namita, did you enjoy your long vampire book?

I have not started reading it yet. I'm looking forward to it though. This long weekend, I will dive into it.
We've hit the 100 points mark so far!!

The redcap is a type of malevolent, murderous goblin found in Border folklore. He is said to inhabit ruined castles along the Anglo-Scottish border, especially those that were the scenes of tyranny or wicked deeds and is known for soaking his cap in the blood of his victims. He is also known as Redcomb and Bloody Cap.
Redcaps had a set of superstitions intricately interweaving with one another. In particular, they believed even numbers were unlucky, and thus would only carry odd numbers of coins and formed groups with an odd number of members.
1. Read a book with a number in the title
2. Read a book with a castle on the cover
3. Read a book with a red cover
4. Read a book with a hat/cap on the cover
Books must be read for this Bonus Monster and checked in before continuing with your regular monsters!

Hi Ladies, I'm going to be bowing out of reading for this challenge. Jesa will be taking my place. I will post my book for the Bonus and be done.
Too many Mod stuff in other groups.

The blank fields, are good to be read for. Pick the Monster. Find the weapon in your book (Text), on the cover or the Monster is in the book.
Bigger books = more points!
Drop down will have your name now.
The Monsters highlighted in Red are Bonus. This round, it's RedCap.
If you have a book that would work, go ahead and remove my name and add yours or just read for the regular monsters.
There will be 2 more Bonus Monsters this Month!!

Thanks Namita!

I know we have free passes. Maybe we can use one?
Carrie wrote: "I don’t think Jesa has finished"
I read the bonus book for you guys. You should be okay to check in.

No. Sorry. I was in the hospital with my dad and wasn’t able to finish. I was going to use the pass but I wasn’t sure if Jesa had to read to finish the Redcap.
I didn’t realize you read a book for us Namita. Thanks for that!

Typhon was known as the “Father of All Monsters.” He was birthed from Gaia (the earth) and Tartarus (the depths of hell). He was said to have been the most ferocious creature ever to roam the earth. Typhon was massive.
Just dodge what needs dodging, focus his legs with your strongest attacks, and you'll be just fine.
1. Read a book where the MC is a huge guy physically
2. Read a book with legs on the cover
3. Read a book with a nasty (your interpretation) villain.
4. Read a book that with "enormous" in the text

Did you like this? I like Hendrix but I struggled when I read this. The siblings drove me crazy. I felt like they were both so immature and their bickering over selling the house seemed to go on and on.

I liked it the creepy way. Yes the fight between the siblings was draggy. But on the bargaining chapters I started to understand them and the secret behind the house. Loved the dabda idea stages of grief on it

Agree that the dolls and puppets were creepy! I loved The Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires and The Final Girl Support Group. I am looking forward to reading Horrorstör.
I may not have been in the right mood when I read this. I’m definitely a mood reader.
Have you read anything else by Hendrix? Do you like Riley Sager?

A Gorgon is a magical monster originating from Greek mythology and has existed in the earliest examples of Greek literature. This malevolent creature appears to be a female humanoid, but where human women have hair growing from their heads, Gorgons instead have living, writhing, venomous snakes growing from their scalps.
The best way to take a gorgon on is to wear a blindfold, equip decent armor, use a powerful sword, and take her on. In addition to this, it is recommended that one should bring many buckets of milk, should they get poisoned by her attacks.
1. Read a book with the word "Milk" in the text
2. Read a book with an MPG of Mythology
3. Read a book with 3 sisters.
4. Read a book where a character is poisoned
Challenge ends November 30th
