It's time for a new Partner Pick. For September we are doing Romantic Suspense Books. Books that fit these categories.Covers that are mostly those colors or that theme.. Create a shelf with all Those Books that fit those categories you have that you'd love to read. Your partner will choose from the shelf. Once you've created your shelf link it and choose a level.
The Levels correspond to how many books you'll read for the month, so think about that before you sign up.

Level 1= 1 Book
Level 2= 2 Books
Level 3= 3 Books

You may alternatively link your normal reading shelf for this challenge too. Don't forget to pick your level. Please remember to link your shelf to participate. If you don’t link your shelf you won’t be assigned a partner. In order to participate in this challenge you must return to choose a book for your partner. All sign ups end on Aug 24th. Partners will be assigned on Aug 25th. You have til Sept 2nd to choose a book for your partner. Have Fun.

Thread of Fear (The Glass Sisters, #1) by Laura Griffin

Book - Thread of Fear
Author - Laura Griffin
Date - 9/11/23
Rating - 4.5 Stars
Review - This was actually a really good book. Our MC is a forensic artist and she gets dragged into a serial killer case where the killer is targeting young Latino girls. With a couple of witnesses, Fiona is able to draw a likeness of the killer. THe other MC, Jack Bowman, is the police chief of a small sleepy town in Texas where these murders are occurring. Jack and Fiona work together to try and solve this case.

The reason for the 4.5 rating is the chemistry between these two. Although the author put these 2 together romantically it seemed very forced and not natural. Fiona is very hot and cold with Jack. One minute she is declaring her love and the next she gives him the cold shoulder over absolutely nothing. It made no sense. Even the sex scene was weird. There was no build up or excitement. It was the blandest thing I have ever read. Other than that I enjoyed the action and the progression of the story.

Morana (moranalove) | 102 comments I enjoyed Beautiful Broken Girls but couldn't focus on Fourth Wing. I'm just going to have to wait until my hold for the audiobook to come to my libby.
