I'm about a quarter of the way through Lowdown Road, which, so far, covers three days in September 1974: the 1st, 2nd and 3rd. The 1st, which was a Sunday in '74, sees one of the main characters going into a liquor store, which would have been closed on Sunday by Texas state law. Also there is no mention of the fact that it was Labor Day weekend. Also, the temperature on Monday night, when the cousins sleep in the taco truck in Fredericksburg, was in the low 50s, which was extremely, unseasonably cold (a record) for Central Texas. No mention of it despite the fact that it's mentioned on the front page—above the fold—of The Austin American-Statesman that morning, which Chuck buys a copy of. I'm loving it, but hoping there's no more of these kinds of errors that stop me reading to fact-check.
