When posters post in a language other than English...

Every now and then, someone makes a post in some language other than English. What is the mods' position on group members running these through Google Translate (or translating it themselves, if they know the other language), and posting the translation? I'm tempted to help out by doing this but don't know if it's acceptable or not.
