I've finished the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. The book was great, but this is one of the rare moments when I say the movie was better.

Connie, I thought that Prince Caspian was supposed to be read after the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. But, you read The Horse and His Boy. So, which one are we supposed to read?

Finishing thoughts...I can't believe it's over...I always get weirdly sad when I finish the Narnia books, even though I know I can read them at any point, I just get so involved in the story

Starting with The Magician's Nephew. I read these when I was 8 years old, and I loved them.

The Magician's Nephew Chapter 4: (view spoiler)[ Narnia is one of my favourite series of all time. I always loved the way C.S. Lewis was able to create different ways of exploring the Good vs. Evil battle. (hide spoiler)]

The Magician's Nephew Chapter 7: (view spoiler)[ I thought it is great to see Christian themes brought into these books. For example, The Queen is the interpretation of Satan in my eyes because he wanted to rule God's people just like the queen. (hide spoiler)]

The Magician's Nephew Chapter 11: (view spoiler)[ Finally, Aslan has arrived into the story. I was waiting for his arrival in this book. Man, he is my favourite character so far. (hide spoiler)]

The Magician's Nephew Ending Thoughts: (view spoiler)[ The themes in this book are incredible. It talks about belief, courage and fantasy. The characters are engaging and the plot was never a dull moment. I give this book a 5/5 as it was a quick read, but it is more to do with the fact that it has a special place in my heart. I find the dedication to be sweet as well. I love that he gave his Goddaughter's name to one of the characters. Makes it even more personal.

It was the representation of temptation. How we think something is desirable and good when in fact, it is evil. (hide spoiler)]

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe Chapter 14: (view spoiler)[ I love Aslan! He sacrificed himself to save Edmund from the White Witch. That is what made him my favourite character of all time. Helping the Pevensies whenever they need him. (hide spoiler)]

The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe Ending Thoughts: (view spoiler)[ The author message was based on good vs evil. It also gave had some Christian meaning, such as when Aslan died because of the stab wound, and then he was resurrected. That was the symbolism of Jesus's resurrection. I disliked Edmond the most, but then he redeemed himself. I thought that was great because it showed that everyone deserves a second chance. (hide spoiler)]
