What are some good books to read during fall/Halloween?

Earlier this year I read Black Mouth by Ronald Malfi and The Curse of Crow by Billy Coffey. Both are creepy and one is about a small town while the other is about having mutual childhood trauma.

If We Were Villains by M. L. Rio, as well as The Secret History by Donna Tartt! They fit the dark academia vibe, which I just sort of naturally associate with autumn :)
