Welcome, Audrey. As a queer librarian, I wish you the best with your professional journey.

My name is Audrey. I'm in my first semester of a Masters in Library Science program. In '21 I got a BFA in Musical Theatre, but have been working in libraries for about 4 years and fell in love with the information industry's mission of inclusion and accessibility and decided to pursue it as a career in addition to my theatrical work.
I've been on Goodreads for a while, but I'm very bad at using it, so I'm very sorry if I'm more of a lurker at times. I wanted to join this group for a couple reasons: 1, I'm very passionate about queer culture and queer issues and have been hungry for a "book club" experience focused on queer literature; 2, I identify as bisexual/queer (it changes from day to day) and my primary focus in my library work is to support underrepresented groups in a community (like my local LGBTQ+ community) through library services.
I tend to read a lot of queer nonfiction, as I've been doing independent research into queer theory and queer history in preparation for an eventual masters with research on Lesbian separatist politics/groups in the 1970s. However, I've recently been hungry for some queer fiction, especially novels focused on the experiences of intersex people and transgender people, so if you have any recommendations I'd always love to hear them!
Anyways, I'm excited to be part of this group!
