Scott Bischke here. Long-time member of Goodreads, but only for the first time getting involved with Goodreads Groups. I'd love to find more folks to share reviews with. About me (does anyone else who writes these intros just feel like writing, "Well, enough about me, let's talk about me!" ??): I love to read across a broad range of genres--including YA*, of course!-- but mostly I just love a great story! If that approach matches your own interests, let's share reviews! Please add me & let me know to add you.
Also, I am an author, many books including Books #1&2 of the YA Critter Chronicles series**. I am just starting to write Book#3 in the series and would love input on where readers think the storyline should go next! If you want to help, there's a Goodreads Giveaway going on for Book#2 until July31, or write me here and I will send out free Books #1 and #2 to the first 4 people who request them (I only request an honest review, and your cool ideas for Book#3 and beyond).
My best to you all, and keep on reading!

PSs:
* For the record, I have never been crazy about the classification "Young Adult" since many, many of the books in the genre speak equally to adults. I'd love a better classification, something more like ... hmm ... even just the simplest change: how about "Young+Adult" books?
** The Critter Chronicles are insightful allegories tackling the key issues of our time through fun, science-savvy stories appropriate for all ages. The Critter Chronicles have been heralded by a Nobel Laureate, the world's preeminent mountaineer, and myriad scientists and educators. They have been used in classroom settings from grade 5 through university. Book#1 in the series is FISH TANK: A FABLE FOR OUR TIMES (covering climate change, politics and power, more through the foibles and follies of fish in a professor's aquarium), and Book#2, which starts where Book#1 leaves off, BAT CAVE: A FABLE OF EPIDEMIC PROPORTION (covering epidemic disease, migration, and more through the travels and interactions of an eagle, a seagull, and multiple colonies of bats--some nice, some not so nice!--they befriend in Baja).
