Didn't really love this one.

Prologue- Chapter 6: (view spoiler)[I am ashamed that I had forgotten a bit of what had happened in the previous book but the author did great at incorporating the important details in this one to refresh the reader’s memory. I am curious about what is happening, surely the woman who miscarried is the one who must have died i guess. I am still thinking about the prologue and how something that happened in France fits into this story. I remembered how creepy the first book was and immediately got uncomfortable lol (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 7-14: (view spoiler)[ugh the woman wasn’t even dead and to lie just to save herself , sending the woman because of whom she was still alive to prison, i despise her. I was scared for a moment that Hazel was losing herself but the rescue came right on time. I am wondering what might be ailing Princess Charlotte, and am curious to find out Hazel’s thoughts on the same. It was looking like her and Simon were warming up but then this mysterious envelope shows up, can it be Jack? (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 15-20: (view spoiler)[Still trying to come to terms with the fact that everyone in the secret society is immortal and that French connection arghhh, so he was the mind behind all of this craziness and now his wife is trying to revive him or something? It’s weird. What’s even more mind blowing is the fact that Hazel agreed to be a part of it all so easily although she did decline immortality thankfully. Charlotte is in love with Eliza, poor she. Jack is back and I am excited to see what becomes of it especially with the whole Simon situation at play as well (hide spoiler)]

Chapter 21-25: (view spoiler)[I really don’t want this book to just turn into Hazel trying to unite Charlotte and Eliza, I want a concrete ending where something is done about this immortality tincture. I didn’t understand at all why Jack couldn’t have stayed and why Hazel has such strong feelings for him. It’s so obvious she has much more in common with Simon plus he is also the level headed one making him a far better match. I guess i am just getting annoyed by her immaturity towards everything (hide spoiler)]

Finished: (view spoiler)[I am so very disappointed with this book, i just lost hours of my day to have such a trashy ending at the end. There was no conclusive end and i hated that Marie and her husband were still “hosting” events despite Marie being just a head now, yikes. Hazel and Jack ending up together was too much of a fairytale ending to a book that was supposed to be horror. I am sort of happy for Charlotte and Eliza though i guess. Hazel was the biggest disappointment with her being immortal as well now, I certainly didn’t expect it. (hide spoiler)]
