Jan Edwards (janc-e) | 47 comments how do I add/edit metadata? When I go to the metadata tab on Sussex Tales I get the message 'no metadata added' but can't see an option to do so.

Barry | 113 comments I think you need to add meta data through the "add book" to your shelf process. When you add that book to your shelf and add a review then you can add meta data. I'm not sure if there are other ways of going about it, though.

Jan Edwards (janc-e) | 47 comments ah right - I shall give adding a review a try. Thanks.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments You don't have to actually write the review; on the screen where you would write a review just scroll down to the options and click for the metadata to add your answers.

R.V. Johnson | 8 comments I tried to add a review and search for meta data, but I must be doing something wrong, it never shows up. How do I add meta data?

message 7: by Betsy (new)

Betsy | 605 comments In your review, scroll down almost to the bottom. There will be a link text, in grey that says "more options". Click that. That expands the review space to include several additional fields you can populate. Just below the Private Notes field, to the right, is another link text that says "edit book metadata" (or something like that). Click that.

R.V. Johnson | 8 comments Thanks, I'll try that.

Debbie's Spurts (D.A.) | 6325 comments @R.V. -- looks like you have an author profile. I'm not sure authors can add metadata to their own books. I could be wrong; you may want to ask over in the Feedback Group because it's also something librarians cannot do. Or email support @ goodreads.com to ask staff if no staff are currently online or responding in the feedback group.
